Mountain Spring

We noticed a new Japanese restaurant opened in Salisbury this year and decided to pay it a visit. “Mountain Spring” is located at the Market Walk (2B), and serves a decent selection of sushi, tempura and other dishes. Their tempura and ramen were both delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Definitely a place to visit again.

Zauważyliśmy, że w tym roku w Salisbury otworzyła się nowa japońska restauracja i postanowiliśmy ją odwiedzić. „Mountain Spring” znajduje się przy Market Walk (2B) i serwuje przyzwoity wybór sushi, tempury i innych dań. Ich tempura i ramen były pyszne i w rozsądnej cenie. Obsługa była uważna i bardzo przyjazna. Zdecydowanie miejsce, które warto odwiedzić ponownie.

Ghurka’s Inn

Tonight, we are off for the Mesmerica show in the Winchester Planetarium but on the way there we decided to stop for dinner. Our choice was the Ghurka’s Inn, located on City Street  -  an independent restaurant serving authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine. With a focus on expertly blending spices and ingredients, the menu showcases an array of dishes that highlight rich aromas and authentic flavours of both regions. The atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back, the food was quite good, and the service was efficient and friendly. Now we are ready for the show.

Dzisiaj wieczorem wybieramy się na pokaz Mesmerica w Winchester Planetarium, ale po drodze postanowiliśmy zatrzymać się na kolację. Wybraliśmy Ghurka's Inn, położoną na City Street restaurację serwującą autentyczną kuchnię nepalską i indyjską. Tutejszy szef kuchni skupiając się na fachowym łączeniu przypraw i składników, oferuje szereg dań podkreślających bogate aromaty i autentyczne smaki obu regionów. Atmosfera była przyjazna i swobodna, jedzenie było całkiem dobre, a obsługa była sprawna i przyjazna. Teraz jesteśmy gotowi na pokaz.

Yuri cottage

Yuri Cottage is a tiny eatery that embraces a minimalistic interior design, creating an inviting yet understated atmosphere. Despite its simplicity, the food is nothing short of delightful. We savoured a diverse mixed platter that included sushi, gyoza, pumpkin croquettes, chicken skewers, seaweed salad, grilled eel, and some more dishes. Our experience was very enjoyable and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Yuri Cottage to mała jadłodajnia z minimalistycznym wystrojem wnętrza i zachęcającą, ale stonowaną atmosferą. Pomimo swojej prostoty, jedzenie jest pyszne. Zamówiliśmy dzisiaj zestaw tapas, który zawierał sushi, gyozę, krokiety z dyni, szaszłyki z kurczaka, sałatkę z wodorostów, grillowanego węgorza i kilka innych dań. Obiad był tak przyjemny, ze na pewno tu jeszcze wrócimy.

Pickled Frog

Before heading to the Salisbury cathedral show today, we decided to grab a bite at Pickled Frog, a cosy restaurant set in a building that dates back to around 1420. It's got that charming, timber-framed feel typical of Market Square corner tenements. The roof is mostly original, 95% to be exact, the first floor is about 60% original, but sadly, just 10% of the ground floor remains from the old days.

Zanim udaliśmy się dzisiaj na pokazy w katedrze, postanowiliśmy wpaść na obiad do Pickled Frog, przytulnej restauracji mieszczącej się w budynku pochodzącym z około 1420 roku. Budynek ten jest wpisany na listę zabytków Salisbury. Dach jest w większości (95%) oryginalny, pierwsze piętro jest oryginalne w około 60%, ale niestety, tylko 10% parteru pozostało z dawnych czasów.

For starters, we went with some tapas—mozzarella sticks, jalapeño flammers, and vegetable spring rolls. For the main course, I opted for the mussels in white wine cream sauce, while Marcin chose a classic burger. The food was very decent. We rounded off the meal with hot chocolate and coffee, and then it was time to make our way to the cathedral.

Jako startery wybraliśmy tapas — paluszki mozzarelli, flammers z jalapeño i sajgonki warzywne. Jako danie główne ja wzięłam małże w sosie śmietanowym z białego wina, a Marcin klasycznego burgera. Jedzenie było bardzo przyzwoite. Zakończyliśmy posiłek gorącą czekoladą (ja) i kawą (M), a potem nadszedł czas, aby udać się do katedry.

Dinner at Jemaa el-Fnaa

Tonight, we return to the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa for dinner. As we stroll through the bustling square, we’re drawn to one of the inviting stalls serving a variety of grilled foods. We decide to order some freshly grilled fish, chicken, and colourful salads. The food is delicious, and the lively atmosphere surrounding us adds to the experience.

Dziś wieczorem wracamy na kolację do placu Jemaa el-Fnaa. Przechodząc między rzędami straganów naszą uwagę przyciąga  jeden z tych, które serwują potrawy z grilla. Zamawiamy tu świeżo grillowaną rybę, kurczaka i kolorowe sałatki. Jedzenie jest pyszne, a atmosfera bardzo przyjemna.

As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, the square comes alive. The sounds of sizzling grills, the cries of the sellers, laughter, music, and singing fill the air, creating an unforgettable backdrop for our meal.

Gdy słońce chowa się za horyzontem, malując niebo odcieniami pomarańczy i fioletu, Jemaa el-Fna Marrakeszu ożywa. Dźwięki skwierczących grilli, krzyki sprzedawców, śmiech, muzyka i śpiew wypełniają powietrze, tworząc niezapomniane tło dla naszego posiłku.
