To sum it up...

A short post to sum up our U Pattaya experience. The room was lovely, our bed and bathtub were big and comfortable, a lot of space everywhere and our private swimming pool was surprisingly big and a lot of fun. The food at the hotel was superb, one of the best we had in Pattaya. The cocktails were great and offered in big variety. The resort was green, clean and tidy, and the staff was very helpful but not invasive. It definitely was one of the best hotels we stayed in and we are going to test some more U hotels in the future. Thank you, U Pattaya.

Krótki post podsumowujący nasze doświadczenia z U Pattaya. Pokój był piękny, nasze łóżko i wanna były bardzo wygodne, wszędzie było dużo miejsca, a nasz prywatny basen był zaskakująco duży i zapewnił mnóstwo zabawy. Jedzenie w hotelu było wspaniałe, jedno z najlepszych, jakie jedliśmy w Pattayi. Koktajle też były świetne i oferowane w dużej różnorodności. Ośrodek był zielony, czysty i schludny, a personel był bardzo pomocny, ale nie nachalny. Zdecydowanie był to jeden z najlepszych hoteli, w jakich się zatrzymaliśmy i w przyszłości zamierzamy przetestować kilka innych hoteli z grupy U. U Pattaya, dziękujemy.

Before we say goodbye

 The last day at U Pattaya we spend having fun in our swimming pool again. A few cocktails are destroyed in the process. It is a very relaxing day and to be honest we are a bit sorry to leave.

Ostatni dzień w U Pattaya znów spędzamy na pluskaniu się w naszym basenie. Przy okazji ulega zniszczeniu kilka koktajli. To bardzo relaksujące przedpołudnie i szczerze mówiąc, trochę nam przykro dzisiaj wyjeżdżać.

Last breakfast

 This is our last breakfast at Upattaya, so we celebrate it a little (and eat a lot). What could be a better start of the day than a delicious food eaten al fresco with a view on blue calm sea…

To nasze ostatnie śniadanie w Upattaya, więc trochę je celebrujemy (dobra wymówka, żeby dużo zjeść). Czy w ogóle może być lepszy początek dnia niż pyszne jedzenie na świeżym powietrzu z widokiem na błękitne, spokojne morze?...

Cafe des Amis

Dinner tonight it is one of the best restaurants of Pattaya, Café des Amis. They serve French and European cuisine, which is a nice change as we had mostly Thai food recently. The lights in the restaurant are quite deem but there are UFO shaped lights for everyone (to read menu in comfort). So obviously we have fun taking pictures whilst playing with lights.  Our starters, damplings and beef are delicious, and the desert is served aflame.

Dzisiejszy obiad jemy w jednej z najlepszych restauracji w Pattaya, Café des Amis. Podają tu dania kuchni francuskiej i europejskiej, co jest dla nas miłą odmianą, ponieważ ostatnio jedliśmy głównie tajskie jedzenie. Światła w restauracji są mocno przygaszone, ale na każdym stoliku są lampki w kształcie UFO (aby wygodnie czytać menu). Oczywiście, że mamy zabawę używając ich do robienia zdjęć. Nasze przystawki, pierogi i stek są pyszne, a deser podany jest w płomieniach.

Walking Street

After the cabaret we are off for dinner but first, we walk through the famous Walking Street. It is out of the season (or rather in a shoulder season) in Pattaya, and soon after pandemic so the street is quieter than it tends to normally be in the summer, but it is probably for the best. Not all the neon lights are on but there are enough and the music blasts from some venues. I think I would find it a bit suffocating in high season.

We stroll down along about 1km-long street and on the other side catch the taxi to our restaurant.

Po kabarecie wybieramy się na kolację, ale najpierw idziemy słynną Walking Street. W Pattaya jesteśmy poza sezonem (a raczej w sezonie przejściowym) i zaraz po pandemii, więc ulica jest cichsza niż zwykle w lecie, ale to chyba nawet lepiej. Nie wszystkie neony się świecą, ale jest ich wystarczająco dużo, a w niektórych miejscach słychać głośną muzykę. Myślę, że w sezonie byłoby to trochę przytłaczające. Spacerujemy tą ulicą przez około 1 km i na jej drugim końcu łapiemy taksówkę do naszej restauracji.
