Through a narrow corridor where complicated images are projected on the floor and visitors, so that once again a visitor becomes a part of the exhibition, we go to the Agent Space.

Przez wąski korytarz, w którym na podłogę i zwiedzających wyświetlane są skomplikowane obrazy, dzięki czemu zwiedzający po raz kolejny staje się częścią wystawy, trafiamy do Przestrzeni Sprawczej.

 Agent Space is focused on the anthropomorphising of AI. Various renditions of human-like creatures but with a hint of a cyborg represent different faces of artificial intelligence.

Przestrzeń Sprawcza koncentruje się na antropomorfizacji sztucznej inteligencji. Różne wersje humanoidalnych twarzy reprezentują możliwe oblicza sztucznej inteligencji.

The next chamber is called Breathing Space. The interpretation of this room is a bit vague for us. We sit in a dark room that represents a cave and watch some cute creatures. They are a bit manga-like and pleasant for the eyes.

Następna sala nazywa się Przestrzenią Oddechową. Interpretacja tego pomieszczenia jest dla nas trochę niejasna. Siedzimy w ciemnym pokoju przypominającym jaskinię i obserwujemy przyjemne dla oczu mangopodobne stworzenia.

Latent Spaces part 1

We missed the first exhibition by Illusionaries, but found out about their current show, called “Latent  Spaces” and decided to visit. It is placed at the Canary Wharf, close to the colourful tunnel (Adams Bridge) designed by Camille Walala for the first London Mural Festival in September 2020.

Pierwszą wystawę Illusionaries w Londynie przegapiliśmy, ale o aktualnej wystawie „Latent Spaces” dowiedzieliśmy się na czas i postanowiliśmy ją zobaczyć. Wystawa znajduje się w Canary Wharf, w pobliżu kolorowego tunelu (Most Adamsa) zaprojektowanego przez Camille Walala na pierwszy London Mural Festival we wrześniu 2020 roku.

The corridor leading to the exhibition rooms is filled with changing colours hanging lights that create a very Christmassy atmosphere.

From here you can visit and re-visit every room in whatever order you want.

Korytarz prowadzący do sal wystawowych wypełniony jest zmieniającymi kolory sznurami wiszących światełek, które tworzą bardzo świąteczną atmosferę. Stąd można odwiedzać (w dowolnej kolejności i dowolną ilość razy wszystkie pokoje wystawy.

Latent Spaces was generated by AI and put together by Markos Kay. The first room, “Formation Space” is inspired by life formation. The organic-like pictures (resembling viruses or other microbes) are displayed on the wall and reflected on the floor and mirrored walls, so the visitors are totally immersed in this alien but beautiful word pulsing to the rhythm of the music. We have all this room only to ourselves for a longer while, and it is a nice bonus.

Latent Spaces składa się z pulsujących obrazów wygenerowanych przez AI i zaaranżowanych przez Markosa Kaya. Pierwsza sala, „Przestrzeń Formacji”, inspirowana jest powstaniem życia. Wielkie obrazy (przywodzące na myśl wirusy lub inne drobnoustroje) są wyświetlane na ścianie i odbijają się w pozostałych wyłożonych lustrami ścianach i podłodze, dzięki czemu zwiedzający całkowicie zanurzają się w tym świecie organicznych molekuł.  Przez dłuższą chwilę mamy cały ten pokój tylko dla siebie i jest to miły bonus.

Maison Hermes

One of my favourite buildings in Ginza is the slender, 12-meter-wide Maison Hermes, the Hermes flagship store.

Jednym z moich ulubionych budynków jest smukły, szeroki na 12 metrów Maison Hermes, flagowy sklep marki Hermes.

It is constructed from chunky glass tiles (about 13,000 of them), allowing golden light to filter outside in the evening and making the building glow in the dark. It is the lantern of Ginza, lighting up the night. Blurred silhouettes of shoppers and staff can be seen flowing on the escalators or traversing corridors close to the glass walls, making the building even more interesting.

Jest on zbudowany z grubych szklanych kafli (około 13 000 sztuk zeszło na cały budynek), dzięki czemu wieczorem złote światło przesącza się na zewnątrz i sprawia, że budynek świeci w ciemności. To taka symboliczna latarnia Ginzy. Rozmyte sylwetki kupujących i pracowników wjeżdżających po schodach ruchomych lub przemierzających korytarze w pobliżu szklanych ścian są widoczne na zewnątrz, co sprawia, że budynek jest jeszcze bardziej interesujący.

On the eighth floor, an art space hosts various exhibitions (usually three per year). The gallery is not big but it is very pleasant.

Na ósmym piętrze w przestrzeni artystycznej odbywają się różne wystawy (zwykle trzy rocznie). Galeria nie jest duża, ale bardzo przyjemna.

The House of Photography

The first place we are this afternoon is The House of Photography, located in a beautifully restored traditional Moroccan riad in the Medina, not too far from our hotel. The architecture of the building features intricate tilework, carved wooden doors, and decorative arches typical of Moroccan design. The internal courtyard is adorned with a central fountain and lush greenery, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere.

The museum is dedicated to the history and culture of photography in Morocco. It houses a collection of historic photographs, glass negatives, cameras, and related artifacts dating from 1870 to 1960, and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the development of photography in Morocco and its impact on the country's culture and history.

Pierwszym miejscem, które odwiedzamy tego popołudnia, jest Dom Fotografii, mieszczący się w pięknie odrestaurowanym tradycyjnym marokańskim riadzie w Medynie, całkiem niedaleko od naszego hotelu. W architekturze budynku zwracają uwagę piękne kafelki, rzeźbione drewniane drzwi i dekoracyjne łuki typowe dla stylu marokańskiego. Wewnętrzny dziedziniec ozdobiony jest centralną fontanną i bujną zielenią.

Muzeum poświęcone jest historii fotografii w Maroku i zawiera kolekcję historycznych fotografii, szklanych negatywów, aparatów fotograficznych i powiązanych artefaktów z lat 1870–1960, oferując zwiedzającym wgląd w rozwój fotografii w Maroku i jej wpływ na kulturę i historię kraju.

The rooftop terrace, where a little café is located, offers a nice view of the city and a peaceful retreat from the relentless heat. We relax with a glass of fresh orange juice and take in the beauty of Marrakech.

Z tarasu na dachu, na którym znajduje się mała kawiarnia, roztacza się ładny widok na miasto, a cień i powiewy wiatru oferują wytchnienie od nieubłaganego upału. Relaksujemy się przy szklance świeżego soku pomarańczowego i podziwiamy piękno Marrakeszu.

Museum of Science

Leaving the SF exhibition, we go around the rest of the museum. It is too vast to see everything thoroughly. And not every gallery reflects our interests. But some trails are really good. The Legend of Apollo and Exploring Space on level 0 are our favourite ones. The fly zone on level 3 is also quite interesting. And then there is also a café serving lovely matcha. A bonus.

Opuszczając wystawę SF, idziemy na obchód pozostałej części muzeum. Jest ono zbyt rozległe, aby wszystko dokładnie zobaczyć podczas jednej wizyty. Ale też nie każda galeria odzwierciedla nasze zainteresowania. Tym niemniej niektóre trasy są naprawdę ciekawe. The Legend of Apollo i Exploring Space na poziomie 0 są dla nas najbardziej intrygujące. Strefa latania na poziomie 3 jest również dość ciekawa. Jest też kawiarnia serwująca pyszną matchę. Bonus.
